Cassia Torae
is a small plant, which grows in dry soil throughout tropical parts of India. Our cleaning plant is situated at Bilaspur (C.G.) in Central India.

This Unit was established in 1990 by Shri Prakash Chanderia, a person with strong ethical principles. He has deep knowledge of forest products & is working in this field since last 35 years. He is very well assisted by his young & energetic son Mr Prashant Chanderia.

This is one of the biggest Cassia Torae region in India. Cassia Torae is a wild crop which grows naturally
.

The crop matures by mid November and local tribal resident pick the seeds which is griped inside the shell. This shell is lightly hammered and seed is taken out. Lots of 5 to 10 M.T. are collected at each pocket & we purchase those lots directly from the source.

Seed Procurement starts from November end & continues till January end and we usually purchase about 5000 M.T. of Cassia Torae seeds in these months.

In International Market, Cassia Torae seeds are broadly categorized as :

  • Bold Cassia Torae Seeds

  • Small Cassia Torae Seeds

This size difference in seed depends on area of collection and not on particular plant. A particular area has yield of either Bold or Small Seeds.

The Raw Cassia Seed has number of foreign particles like, dust, shell pieces, weightless seeds, stones and damaged seeds. This raw seed is than sent to our Cleaning Ssection & it is freed from all these impurities. We have plant capacity of 20 M.T. per day.

Then the most Important task of sizing is undertaken and seed are graded as bold & small. This is 100% clean Cassia Seed and is packed as per buyers specification.
